Feral Beast

Well sweetheart, I’m a feral beast
and I’ll tear you apart if you let me
I might be more savage than you had expected
but I promise that you’ll never forget me

I’ll fight off the fears and the shadows
that lurk around the door of your lair
With frenzied embraces and violently
running our fingers through each other’s hair

I’m a feral beast baby, I need you to know
there’s an animal that will not rest
And the mere thought of you makes it beats it’s claws
against it’s cage that is my chest

Call it animal spirit or animal nature
it’s a force that I can’t control
An instinct embedded somewhere ancient
deep within our souls

I’m a feral beast, yet with a single glance
your wish becomes my command
As much of an animal as I might be
there’s only so much I can stand

The War on Us

The war on drugs
Was a war on us
The drugs were the weapons used
To seduce our desires
While they tapped wires
To entrap higher perceptions
A deception to fill up prisons
And eliminate dissidents
With a guilty decision
To dish out blame upon
All to create a front
So there's always a thug
Available as a fall guy
So they don't even have to try
To search for a stool
Because they have a list
Of all of the fools
To which they sell

The wars they wage
This day and age
Encourage hatred for the sake
Of propagating conflicts
So that the wars can
Simply continue to exist
And eliminate any resistance
We shouldn't have to live like this
Being punished if we don't pay
For efforts to create enemies against us
Punished if we resist being taken under
By slanderous propaganda
Punished for thinking
That peace is a possible solution
While all along
They never sought resolution
That would have been stupid
The conflict is far too lucrative
